"We think that cyber threat will become the biggest threat for US in the future" – said FBI Director Robert Muller at the RSA conference in San Francisco, reported by Business Insider.
He said those good old days when the hacking was done by the tanagers for fun are over. The new breeds of hackers are well organized and work in groups. The organization is similar with traditional criminals.

Despite the fact that the fight against terrorism is still the number one activity of FBI, every office of this organization does have the team in charge for on line activities. They track all activities, from small frauds to recruitment of terrorists on the internet. They activity will be more and more focused on fight against hackers.

Today is difficult to track the development of technology from security perspective – said Muller. Therefore, it is necessary that government agencies and private corporation fight jointly against cyber criminal. The importance of this initiative lays in the fact that once isolated hackers now merged in criminal syndicate like groups that act from different countries and attacking private and government organizations.

It should be the common interest of private companies to share information about cyber attacks with governmental agencies. Companies are sometimes hiding the facts about cyber attacks, because they are afraid that information could harm their image in public and among investors.
